2017 Mission U Hands-On Project: Children’s Christmas Shoeboxes for Red Bird Mission

June 27, 2017

Mission U’s 2017 Hands-on project is donating Christmas Shoeboxes to Red Bird Mission in southeastern Kentucky.  It is one of the three national institutions we are learning about in our Mission U geographic study this year!  These shoeboxes will be distributed to children in need.

Suggestions for your shoebox:

  • Bring only completed boxes – we will not be assembling them at Mission U
  • Label the shoebox for BOY or GIRL
  • Identify age group (2-4) (5-9) (10-14)
  • Please use age-appropriate items
  • Include 2-3 toy items (ex: jump ropes, card games, balls, stuffed toys, Legos, crafts, yo-yos, etc…)
  • Include 2-3 School Items (ex: pencils, crayons, markers, coloring/activity books, calculators, scissors, rulers, erasers, etc…)
